About our math calculators

Mathematics is the one subject where getting the right answer is not the same as understanding it. These calculators are built to do both: each returns the result and then explains the method, the formula, and the reasoning behind it, so a homework answer becomes something you can reproduce in an exam without the tool.

The collection spans arithmetic and fractions, number theory, statistics and probability, geometry, and algebra. Some are the everyday tools you reach for repeatedly — percentages, averages, square roots. Others solve the specific problems that come up in coursework and lab work, such as standard deviation, confidence intervals, p-values, and the quadratic formula.

Where a calculation has a common trap, the page says so. Percentage increases and decreases are not symmetric. The mean of a skewed dataset misleads. A p-value below 0.05 does not prove a hypothesis. These are the errors that cost marks and produce wrong conclusions, and knowing them is usually more valuable than the arithmetic itself.

Can I use these for homework?+

Yes, and each page shows the formula and method so you can reproduce the working rather than only copying an answer. Understanding the method is what transfers to an exam where no calculator is allowed.

Do the trigonometric functions use degrees or radians?+

The scientific calculator takes angles in degrees. A degrees-versus-radians mismatch is the most common source of wrong trigonometric answers, so check which unit your problem uses.

Why do some results show slight rounding differences?+

Computers store decimals in binary, and values such as 0.1 have no exact binary representation. Results are rounded for display, which normally hides it, but it explains occasional differences in the final digit.
